It may be irksome to make your toddler try a new dish or recipe. For example, if your toddler loves pasta, making them eat the same dish for a whole week may not be good for their health.

With this habit, serving healthy meals on the palate will make them reluctant. To break the monotony in your toddler’s life, find different ways to introduce new flavors and ingredients to make them familiar with every type of food.

4. Say no to bribe or forceful eating.

The atmosphere at your eating time should be relaxed and positive. You should be relaxed at the eating table. Do not indulge your child in a reward system for eating food.

Also, do not be forceful with your child to eat as it may make him aversive to some foods. It may be difficult for your child to try on new foods and recipes with aversion and reluctance.

5. Be mindful of the portions.

Serving a large portion of the foods that the child is not familiar with can make them reluctant. Use small portions to tempt your child. For small portions, you can use small pots or utensils.


One tip is to introduce your child to the new foods as soon as possible as it accustoms them to new recipes.

Without making them familiar with new food, they would never know that such foods exist. There will be limited dishes for them, and they can never know the variety that exists on the food.
